Alright.

There's a significant lack of actual animation going on in this short, sequences are reused and bulletholes appear without any kind of bullet going into the wall first.

While the character's look great, it's also taking liberties with the actual scene it's paying homeage to. Why does the Terminator go for 0 casualties and then blow up a guy with a grenade? Where is Sarah and John throughout all this?

While the effects when done right, such as the Terminator getting short, it's let down by animation saving techniques. The rising in the fire has very little change in position or flow, the Terminator gets shot to ribbons before pulling out the pistol, the cops don't shoot back at her in the building after the minigun.

It's a nice short in some places but overall is not that brilliant, a good effort for early work but theres a lot of room for improvement here.

DangerousBob responds:

thanks for the input. duly noted.

Decent in it's own right.

Though i thought you'd nicked a few of the jokes from Egoraptor's own animations. Needed more original content. Also the voice actors don't do the Awesome series justice, you need to put a lot more energy into it, they sound too calm most of the time.

secondstamp responds:

Right. Well, I guess there's only so much you can write in scripts for voice actors to make them sound just how you want it, haha.

Good in it's own way.

However, as part of the Everyday Adventures of Steve series, it just deviates far too much from the classic formula of plenty of humour with cool fight with something totally random.

Still regard the 2nd one as the best. The inferior graphics in parts adds to the charm as well.

Neo-Egyptian responds:

I'm probably starting to sound like a broken record but: don't worry, the fourth episode is going to return the format to how it was in the first and second episodes. I still firmly believe in progression - particularly in regard to the drawing and using better animating techniques - but the story and the jokes need to be my priority and there really isn't any space in the Steve series of pseudo-series plotlines. I think it's for those reasons Steve 3 didn't quite hit the right note with fans of the series.

Whoa

I expected this to br thrown together and be a bit shoddy. But it looks like some effort has been put into this.

Well made and presented. Fifened and Favourited for the memories and as the chans would say, "for the lulz".

Radioactive24 responds:

Thanks.

I did rush this a little, but, I don't like half-assing things, so I put some effort into it. So I could "have the lulz" too.

Hold up...

You finished something for once? Incredible!

Yeh the animated segments are of better quality than the live segments, apart from "I'm paintin drains" that would work animated and it's the funniest bit.

Good to hear the music quality wasn't destroyed coding this into flash, shame about visual quality.

NOW FINISH WORMS MAKE DIRT (or you'll be sleepin with 'em ;))

AcidX responds:

;) And there's more on the way!

Paintin' drains ftw.
And yah, huge shame about the visual quality ;( It was made for DVD playback though, so it's hardly suprising it wound up so naff.

And I'm afraid WMD has totally bugged up ;( Yes that pissed me off too! >;-U ) But there is another (Aquabats) music vid well on its way ;)

Short Sweet and No dialect.

Brilliant.

TJG responds:

dankoo

Good

Nice Frame by Frame animation, very good sound quality (gotta tell me how to get rid of all the breathy sounds from speech)

Oh yeh i forgot, i have this!

Although we knew it was coming the line was still great.

Ghosty22 responds:

I was actually worried that my sound wasn't that good. I've been having microphone problems lately. As far as avoiding breath in your recordings, sometimes it's good enough to hold the mic a little farther away...

Sometimes it helps to not talk directly into the mic, but talk above it so that the stream of air coming out of your mouth passes over the top of the mic, rather than hitting it...

Also, I find that when I'm doing characters, I tend to talk more forcefully. Altering your breath often makes you breathe harder, because you have to work to force air through your clenched vocals chords... It might be helpful to try your lines first with your hands in front of your mouth so you can gage how much air is coming out. Those are the best suggestions I can come up with...

It might also be helpful to know that it took me several takes to get them right. Don't be afraid to reject your bad takes...

Very good

Haven't seen such a great flash in some time.

The voice suites him perfectly.

Neo-Egyptian responds:

Thanks a lot, glad you enjoyed it! And thanks about the voice!

...

I'll never take a drink from a stranger ever again...

Actual drawing and animation quality is pretty good by the way.

AppleLock responds:

I'm glad I could help!

Truly Awesome

Even your short animations reek of awesomeness Wonchop.

Loved the whole super high pitch gag.

Wonchop responds:

You mean I have long animations!? O_o

Perpetually lazy and demotivated. Thrust something my way and i'll probably do it, with minimal effort.
