Poor effort.

What little content there is in this animation is just poor. The graphics look traced from ego's style to a point where they don't like right when in certain positions and the jokes just aren't funny for a lack of relevance.

Alright.

There's a significant lack of actual animation going on in this short, sequences are reused and bulletholes appear without any kind of bullet going into the wall first.

While the character's look great, it's also taking liberties with the actual scene it's paying homeage to. Why does the Terminator go for 0 casualties and then blow up a guy with a grenade? Where is Sarah and John throughout all this?

While the effects when done right, such as the Terminator getting short, it's let down by animation saving techniques. The rising in the fire has very little change in position or flow, the Terminator gets shot to ribbons before pulling out the pistol, the cops don't shoot back at her in the building after the minigun.

It's a nice short in some places but overall is not that brilliant, a good effort for early work but theres a lot of room for improvement here.

Uplifting

Something about the concept for this just works. The different phrases and situtations that people came up with varied greatly which kept my interest throughout the whole thing. I also liked the diversity in the voices.

The animation was brilliant for conveying the events in the voice overs. Sometimes the animation was a little crude but i think that's more down to your art style.

Overall i'd say the only real problems were the sound quality on some of the voices and the animation lacking in certain places. But it's a flash i'd love to see get a frontpage, it deserves that kind of exposure.

Funny and relevant.

The joy of this episode is that it's something we can relate too. Anyone whose gone shopping and used a self service checkout has had at least one situation where the technology has proved to be completely inept, in the same way the automated phone menus piss people off.

This episode taps into that knowledge while giving it's own spin on it with the Press Start characters and it works really well, combining the humour of the show with the relevant frustration of the situation.

As ever, the graphical quality isn't anything to shout about but it retains a consistent style for the characters that doesn't distract the viewer, as i tend to be when artists constantly tweak the look of there characters to "improve" them.

Overall, an enjoyable short.

Love the drawing style

Your very good at how people physically act, but the flash is a little on the short side and could use some audio.

Still, a good first submission.

Brilliant

The idea of basically telling the story of a terrible fanfic isn't new. But i liked this short. It shows how god awful the writer and liberally takes the piss out of him/her.

I've tried doing a similar thing by reading out forum posts, but i pale in comparison to the brilliant voice work in this short.

Timing was off, otherwise great.

Well animated, good jokes and situations that made for some funny scenes. However the dialogue seems forced and unnatural, the characters don't seem like there the ones saying the lines and there is a lot of pauses and slow scene changes that break the feel of the animation that becomes downright jarring at points.

Ultimately it's down to Simon doing every voice, as they all sound like they were recorded separately. Had each character had it's own voice actor this could have been avoided.

Bloody hell man

That's some shit you pull out your ass!

Bugger all animation but smooth framerate and a funny plot.

Biggest Mindfuck Ever

A fun, well animated, well drawn short filled with wonder inside cameos and the like. But it has a flaw in that it starts with a vague plot and just sort of craps all over it a little bit later.

I'm a guy who takes sides on everything. A flash has to, for me, either be a plot driven story for it's whole duration or totally abandon all sense of plot throughout so we know that's what is intended by the animator. Going from a slight plot to a complete baffling mindfuck when they meet the Castle Crasher to me just dents this movie from a 10.

Stellar Voice Acting

I found the sketch funny. I found the voices are very close to the actual voice actors for the respective characters and the setting for the entire series is an interesting twist on the usually squeaky clean Disney characters.

While LordXavierBritish is correct is his comments about the use of tweens or the short not being a true parody, the short is funny and it's animation style doesn't demand a higher framerate count or lipsync, it can be said it's designed to look crummy to give it a more vintage feel.

Perpetually lazy and demotivated. Thrust something my way and i'll probably do it, with minimal effort.
